MEET ELIZABETH
ANXIETY THERAPIST IN BURLINGAME, CA
You look capable and put-together. You meet deadlines, follow through, and hold yourself to a high standard. But anxiety hums in the background. Your mind scans for mistakes, your body stays tense, and you push past exhaustion because slowing down feels risky. You set the bar high—and then raise it again. Even when you’re burned out, you tell yourself to try harder.
If this feels familiar, you’re not falling behind — your nervous system is stuck on overdrive. Anxiety, perfectionism, and chronic stress can make rest feel unsafe and mistakes feel unacceptable. I help adults step out of that cycle. Together, we calm the stress response, loosen perfectionism’s grip, and recover from burnout — so you can work with focus instead of fear, rest without guilt, and live in a way that feels truly aligned with yourself.
I’ve been where you are . . .
⟡ I used to believe my worth came from being responsible, agreeable, and getting everything right.
⟡I pushed through stress, ignored my limits, and kept going — even when my body was tense, my mind exhausted, and something inside me felt off.
⟡What changed was learning to listen instead of push. I stopped seeing my anxiety as a failure and started treating it as information.
⟡ I learned how to calm my nervous system, set clear boundaries without guilt, and respond to my needs before reaching burnout. Now, I help my clients feel safe in their body, calm anxiety, ease perfectionism, recover from burnout, and reconnect with themselves.
⟡ You might believe that taking care of yourself is selfish, or that your needs don’t matter as much as keeping up with work, family, or obligations — but it’s not true.
⟡ You may feel anxious, guilty, or burned out every time you try to slow down, set boundaries, or say no, worried that you’ll let others down if you stop overextending.
⟡ If you’re like many of my clients, you might be stuck in a cycle of trying to “fix” yourself through overworking, people-pleasing, or striving for perfection.
The truth is that healing and relief don’t come from pushing harder or performing. They come from unlearning shame, reconnecting with your body, and giving yourself permission to live fully — even in the middle of stress, anxiety, and high expectations.
"If you want to conquer the anxiety of life, live in the moment, live in the breath." — Amit Ray.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES
My Values as a Therapist
Safety First
Creating a space where your body, mind, and emotions feel seen, supported, and protected is the foundation for real healing.
Compassion Over Perfection
Growth comes from kindness, not pressure — you don’t need to be “fixed” or perfect to find relief and confidence
Self-Trust
I help clients rebuild confidence in their own intuition and decision-making, so they can navigate life with clarity instead of doubt.
Empowered Boundaries
Learning to honor your needs and set limits without guilt is key to reducing anxiety, stress, and burnout.
Vulnerability
I honor the courage it takes to show up honestly, even with fear, doubt, or uncertainty.
Body-Mind Connection
Healing anxiety and burnout isn’t just mental work — it’s about reconnecting with your body and nervous system
My Therapy Approaches
⟡ Self-Compassion: We practice turning the kindness you give others toward yourself, helping you respond to mistakes, stress, and self-doubt with understanding instead of criticism.
⟡ Attachment-Focused: We explore how early relationship patterns affect your sense of safety and trust, helping you understand anxiety triggers and feel more secure in yourself and your connections.
⟡ Person-Centered: Therapy moves at your pace. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel fully seen and supported in your experience.
⟡ DBT & Mindfulness Practices: You’ll learn practical skills and guided mindfulness exercises to manage intense emotions, stop spiraling, and stay grounded in the present.
⟡ Somatic & Meditation-Focused: We work with your body and nervous system, using movement, breathwork, and meditation to release tension, calm anxiety, and reconnect with a sense of ease

What inspired you to become a therapist?
-What inspired me to become a therapist was my hope in human potential. I’ve always seen people as resilient, courageous, and each person with their own strengths and gifts. I have struggled with anxiety myself and I want to help others find their calm and reconnect with themselves as I did.
What do you like to do for self-care?
-For self-care I like to visit the beach, local gardens, hiking, or be anywhere out in nature. I also like to spend quality time with my partner and check-out new restaurants or coffee shops.
What’s your favorite TV show?
-Too many good ones to pick one! My favorite TV shows are Outlander, Emily in Paris, and Gilmore Girls
What’s one common myth about therapy you wish everyone knew?
-Therapy is not meant for advice. I will help guide you towards exploring opportunities based on your own unique values and beliefs. Choices are ultimately up to you!
What’s your secret talent?
-My secret talent is that I love latin dancing, such as salsa and bachata and I have been dancing for more than a few years now.
Dogs, cats, or some other quirky pet love?
-I love dogs and cats and love getting to know my clients’ pets, which are family. I do not have any pets currently, but I would love to have a dog in the near future.
