YOU DESERVE TO FEEL SAFE, CALM, AND IN CONTROL AGAIN
Anxiety Therapy in Burlingame, CA
Services available virtually throughout California
Anxiety can make every day feel like a marathon you never trained for. Your mind races, your body stays tense. You reread a text, fearing the person you love is pulling away; enter a room, convinced you don’t belong; and lie awake at 2 a.m., certain you’re wasting your life. Somewhere in the relentless second-guessing, you lose not just your calm—but your sense of being enough.
Therapy with me helps you face racing thoughts, relationship fears, social pressure, and life doubts with mindful breathing, gentle body awareness, and self-compassion. You’ll learn to notice tension without judgment, calm your nervous system, and respond to stress instead of reacting. In doing so, you reclaim ease, confidence, and a stronger sense of yourself.

I combine evidence-based strategies with mindfulness, meditation, somatic (body-based) practices, and self-compassion techniques. This means we focus not just on understanding anxious thoughts, but also on learning practical skills you can use in real life—like regulating your nervous system, noticing your body’s signals, and responding to anxiety with curiosity instead of judgment. Therapy is collaborative, and we’ll tailor each session to your unique needs and goals.

The length of therapy varies depending on your goals, the intensity of anxiety, and how often you practice skills outside of sessions. Some clients notice relief or a sense of calm in the first few weeks, while others continue for several months to build lasting confidence and resilience. We’ll work together to create a pace and structure that feels manageable for you, ensuring you gain practical tools that last beyond the therapy room.

I am currently out-of-network, but I provide superbills that many clients submit to their PPO plans for partial reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so it’s best to check with your insurance provider. I can guide you through the superbill process and provide documentation to make reimbursement as smooth as possible. Many clients find that even out-of-network sessions can be partially covered, making therapy more accessible. My current rate is $200 for a 50 minute session.

Feeling anxious about starting therapy is very common, and it’s okay to start slowly. In our first session, the focus is on creating a safe, supportive space where you can share at your own pace. We’ll begin with small, manageable steps to help you feel grounded and start building coping skills right away. Over time, therapy can help you gain confidence, learn tools to manage anxious moments, and feel more in control of your life—even when anxiety shows up.
